Is there a way to recover the pictures on the chip? Looking online, it appears there are programs that will do it, but nothing I try to download will open in Linux. The punchline is, she now tells me she still had a couple days worth of pictures on the chip that she hadn't put captions to. Then she mentioned that on her computer, she had the same pictures with captions, so I deleted the stuff on my computer. I haven't taken a picture on it since being formatted.
I copied what was on the camera chip onto my computer and then formatted the chip.
My wife just spent 2 weeks in Israel and came home with tons of pictures. I feel just sick over this and I hope there is some magic out there to help me.
